Indian adventures

Long time, no blogging (again!) and it’s the second month of 2016 already.

January is such a depressing month. The excitement and expense of Christmas is done and dusted so it’s usually all about waiting for payday. But this year we decided to do what we had always wanted to do- take some extended time out in January and go on holiday. So it was on December 30th that we boarded a Mumbai bound flight from London Heathrow to begin 19 days of adventures in India.

This was our third trip to India and we loved it as much as ever. I posted our schedule back in December but as always seems to happen, things changed and so we spent just under three weeks travelling around and exploring Mumbai, Varkala, Ooty, Mahabalipurum, Kolkata and Varanasi.

India did not dissapoint and we can’t wait to go back. In fact we had such a great time we were hoping to head back across later in the year. A lot has changed in the three weeks we’ve been back, however, so that probably won’t be possible but we will still make sure we get back there by the end of 2017.

We are still sorting through our photos, hence why it has taken so long to get blogging, but here are a few Instagram shots in the meantime.
